Organisation profile

Organisation profile

We apply electron beam imaging and spectroscopy to study nanoscale physical and chemical processes at the nano and atomic scale. We apply stimuli such as heating, electrical biasing, light illumination and gas exposure to structures, and record live images and spectra to gain insight into nanoscale processes relevant for applications such as sensing, optical communications and photocatalysis.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):

  1. SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy
SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy
  2. SDG 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production
SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production
