Empowering society through intelligent robotic and automation technologies: Society faces significant global challenges that require innovative solutions, leveraging collaboration between human and artificial intelligence to create novel, highly automated, and autonomous systems.
CREA creates next-generation automation and robotics technologies by developing engineered systems featuring intelligence that preserves human agency.
The group pursues these developments through world-class research on theoretical and technological foundations in mechatronics, control systems, neuromorphic computing, artificial intelligence, and automation science.
They contribute to delivering the best engineering education in Europe, empowering the next generation of engineers with state-of-the-art knowledge and skills in control, robotics and embodied AI. Striving to openly collaborate with national and international stakeholders in the public and private sectors in different domains such as health, energy, maritime, mining, logistics, operation and maintenance, security, and beyond.
CREA’s research action contributes to several scientific areas that are core to the creation of intelligent cyber-physical-human systems:
The group's ideas come to life thanks to their proven skills in system engineering.
CREA’s research tackles compelling societal challenges including resilient energy production, transport safety, healthcare, security of supply, and sustainable manufacturing.
