Dataset for: "Resolved large eddy simulations of a settling or rising spherical microplastic particle"

-The "settlingRisingVelocity.mat" is a MATLAB binary workspace file containing the diameter, density, and settling or rising velocity of all simulated microplastic particles, with their position and velocity time series and kinematic viscosity of the fluid.-The "settlingRising_main.zip" is a main simulation folder that can be manipulated for the specific case and used with present CFD-DEM coupling.-Example simulation videos for each microplastic particle are provided with the naming convention "S_X.mp4" for the settling microplastics and "R_X.mp4" for the rising microplastics, where “X” refers to the case number. Please note that the videos are low-quality when using the preview.
