Data for: Human introductions and migration shape the genetic population structure of invasive Pacific oysters in Northern Europe

Dataset

Description

The files correspond to the genotypes used for the publication associated to this dataset ("Jiménez-Mena, Belén; Seabra Freitas, Pedro; Saurel, Camille; Madsen, Lone; Nielsen, Einar Eg (2025) (2025). Human Introductions and Migration Shape the Genetic Population Structure of Invasive Pacific Oysters in Northern Europe. Aquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems"). Genetic file ("all_genepop..." file) is a file in genepop format, where the lines correspond to: (i) description of the dataset (first line), (ii) loci names (one per row), (iii) keyword "POP" which marks the start of a new population, (iv) the individual IDs (starting with an unique identifier, with a comma, and followed by tab with the genotypes, which correspond to the concatenation of two alleles (represented by 01,02,03 or 04). Unknown genotypes are represented by 00.Metadata file ("popMap") is the metadata associated to each individual in the genetic file. The different columns correspond to: Ii) Sample_name (the individual ID), (ii) Sample_name2 (code of the laboratory), (iii) Control (number defining if the individual is a control individual; "0"= no control, "1"=control), (iv) "Location" (region where the individual was sampled); (v) Age_group, (vi) Length, (vii) Width.
