Utility Scale Hybrid Power Plant

Description

With increasing share of renewables in the power systems all over the world, variability of power generation increases. This variability may not to be correlated with the demand of the power system, therefore, to the electricity price. This might result in reduction of value for renewable power plant operator. One solution to mitigate this challenge could be use of energy storage solutions, which allows the renewable + storage based hybrid power plant for increased value to the power plant owners. This presentation will talk about the research involved regarding sizing and operation of hybrid power plants.
