Description
This study serves as a valuable resource for constructing a roadmap towards circularity and sustainability within the SMARTCHAIN project, which is dedicated to developing solutions aimed at enhancing supply systems within blue bioeconomy value chains. Our analyses recommend a robust framework for the formulation and implementation of policies that actively promote and enhance sustainability and circularity in seafood value chains. By incorporating the insights derived from our analyses, policymakers can make informed decisions that not only enhance the long-term economic viability of the seafood supply chain but also prioritize the safeguarding of environmental interests. These insights encompass the entirety of the end-to-end logistics process, commencing from the harvest or catchment phase and extending all the way to the retail level.
