    Identifying and characterizing the wake situation affecting the turbine is a first and necessary step for advanced wind farm control and management algorithms. This project investigates methods, including artificial intelligence, to characterize a turbine wake situation from its loads and acceleration signals. The methods will be tested on different wake situations, turbines, as well as on different types of turbulence simulations (e.g., spectral-based versus large-eddy simulation).
