Description
The shift from centralised large production to distributed energy production has several consequences on the current power system operation. The increasing number of the distributed energy resources (DERs) replacing large power plants influences the dependency of the power system on the small scale, distributed production. Many of these DERs can be accessed and controlled remotely, posing a cyber-security risk. The cyber-physical system analysis helps the power system operator to discover if their assets have been compromised. The cyber-physical intrusion detection systems offer additional monitoring and decision aiding tools to discover malicious operation of the power grid.
