Innovating food safety with next generation (sequencing) workshop

Activity: Talks and presentationsGuest lectures, external teaching and course activities at other universities

Description

The benefits of Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) also known as Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), are transforming the ways for countries to manage food safety and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) as well as outbreak prediction by combining the use of artificial intelligence (AI). Young scientists (next generation) will be the key drivers and conscious makers of this change, shaping the future of global food safety by integrating WGS technologies into their careers. This workshop aims to create a dedicated space to bring the young voice together to be integrated into the global discussion on the future of WGS for food safety.
