Engineers Playground: Facilitating learning with digital tools in unit operation exercises

Description

Within the last years the Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Department at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU KT) expanded and modernized its Pilot Plant facilities, now representing over 30 different chemical, biochemical and pharma unit operations. Lately we have furthermore implemented novel digital tools to facilitate the operation and the performance of the practical unit operation courses. With a targeted use of digital technologies, it was aimed to reduce the students barriers for operating the pilot plant equipment and to enable inductive learning before, during and after the exercises.
