Rudolph, D. P. (Guest lecturer)

Activity: Talks and presentationsGuest lectures, external teaching and course activities at other universities

[Online due to Covid-19] The seminar will explore various ways of how spatial conditions become meaningful in contestations over the development of renewable energy facilities, such as wind farms. In doing so, the seminar will refer to a number of theoretical concepts and draw on empirical examples from Scotland and Denmark. We will first discuss how space-related practices and people-place relations play out in local conflicts over renewable energy developments and will then elaborate on the extent to which they are considered in community engagement processes and become relevant in the distribution of impacts and benefits from these projects.
