Characterization of New Generation 3D CZT High Resolution X- and Gamma-ray Detector for High Energy Space Mission Concept

Activity: Examinations and supervisionSupervisor activities

Description

The aim of this thesis is to characterize the 3D CZT drift strip detector
prototype, determining its position and energy resolution. The position determination is expanded to handle double site events within the detector. These will be utilized to characterize the imaging performance of the 3D CZT drift strip detector prototype, determining its angular resolution when operating as a Compton camera.
