Abstract: Specialty optical fiber for specific applications have become a new paradigm in guided wave photonics. In this invited presentation, we would review some of our application-specific specialty fiber designs for parabolic pulse generation to overcome nonlinear detriments, and allfiber light sources for mid-IR and THz photonics.
