On the single-ion Magnetic Anisotropy of the Rare-Earth Metals.

The temperature dependences of the single-ion magnetic anisotropy
constants for Tb and Dy metals are calculated in terms of the
multipole moments of the rare-earth ions utilizing the available
crystal-field parameters. The results are compared with the
existing experimental data.
