Modelling the influence of yaw using a simple vortex rotor model
Publication: Research - peer-review › Poster – Annual report year: 2012
A simple analytical rotor model based on vortex
theory is briefly presented and used to investigate the
main mechanisms for wind turbine rotors operating
at yaw misalignment. The overall findings of the
model is verified by comparing with an existing
model as well as with results obtained using the
actuator disc technique combined with full Navier-
Stokes computations.
