N2 - Engineers' role in the management of working environment has been studied in 20 Danish enterprises based on questionnaires to 680 engineers. In general, engineers are not aware that they may influence the working environment of other people through their decisions. It is suggested that engineering subcultures be examined in order to change engineers' attitudes toward the working environment of workers and users.
