Cooperative Operation of Battery Energy Storage System and Dispatchable Distributed Generations in Microgrid System

Microgrid is an efficient solution to the utilization of renewable energy. According to the different operations (grid-connected or islanded), a fuzzy-logic based control strategy between BESS and dispatchable DG units is proposed in this paper, where the BESS plays a key role. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is simulated and verified using DIgSILENT/PowerFactroy.
