N2 - This is the final report of the project PSO-10240 "Calculation of extreme wind atlases using mesoscale modeling". The overall objective is to improve the estimation of extreme winds by developing and applying new methodologies to confront the many weaknesses in the current methodologies as explained in Section 2. The focus has been put on developing a number of new methodologies through numerical modeling and statistical modeling.
