Research in the area of intestinal microbiota and prevention of gut infections. It is believed that dietary prebiotic carbohydrates modulate the indigenous gut population and by that enhance resistance to ingested pathogens.

In this PhD project I use a guinea-pig model to identify dietary prebiotic carbohydrates that inhibit infection with the pathogenic bacteria Listeria monocytogenes.
