Thomas Stidsen's work is primarily on applications of
Operations Research methods for different types of industrial
planning problems. He has experience from collaboration with a
number of different Danish companies, primarily software vendors.
The planning solutions developed are used in the education sector,
production sector etc.
Thomas Stidsen is an Associate Professor of Operations Research at
Informatics and Mathematical Modelling, at the Technical
University of Denmark. He received his bachelor degree in Physics
and Computer Science from the University of Aarhus in 1992. In 1997
he received his master degree in Computer Science from the
University of Aarhus in 1992. In 2002 he received his Ph.D. in
Operations Research from the Technical University of Denmark.
Thomas Stidsen was in 2002 employed as an Assistant Professor at
the Institute of Mathematics at the University of Copenhagen. From
2003 to 2005 he was employed as an Assistant Professor at
Informatics and Mathematical Modelling, at the Technical University
of Denmark. From 2006 he has been employed as an Associate
Professor at Informatics and Mathematical Modelling, at the
Technical University of Denmark. He has been taught a number of
courses in mathematical modeling, decomposition algorithms for
large scale optimization and metaheuristic algorithms for
optimization. Furthermore he has published a number of scientific
articles and supervised a number of master's thesis projects.
