Endocrine disruptors in the environment and food are suspected to contribute to reduced fertility and lead to malformations of the reproductive tract.

I am a part of the group "Reproductive toxicology" in the Department of Toxicology and Risk Assessment, which examines the endocrine disrupting effects the reproductive system.

My primary activity is planning experiments in Reproductive toxicity studies with endocrine disrupting chemicals and mixtures of these. I conduct experiments, and works with data collection and statistics.

I have in the summer of 2009 defended my PhD thesis entitled: Effects of Combined Exposure to anti-androgen on development and sexual dimorphic behavior in rats. This is a very hot area which is often in focus by the press.

In addition, I contribute to the department's advice to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration about endocrine disrupting chemicals. From January 2010 I am National Coordinator for the OECD Test Guidelines.
