Sofiane is an associate professor at the Department of Management Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark.

Sofiane’s research focuses on evolutionary algorithms (optimization and use), and knowledge based artificial intelligence using fuzzy logic for control/prediction applied to different design problems and processes such as:

1. Emotional Design
2. MEMS Design
3. Genetic-Fuzzy Control (Pulp and Paper Quality Control and Prediction, Online Tool-Condition Monitoring)
4. Automatic generation of fuzzy data structures
5. etc ...
