Jeg var faglig sekretær og med-coordinator på EU-projektet OPTIFORD (Towards a strategy for optimal vitamin D fortification).

Jeg er medlem af en EFSA arbejdsgruppe ang. videnskabelig vurdering af sundhedsanprisninger relateret til knogler, tænder og led.

Jeg er rådgiver for danske myndigheder ang. bla. D-vitamin D, inkl. videnskabelig vurdering af sundhedsanprisninger for Fødevarestyrelsen.

Jeg deltager i ILSI arbejde vedr. mikronæringsstoffer, og jeg deltager i Nordisk Ministerråds projekt: Markedsundersøkelse og forbruker-undersøkelse om kosttilskudd og berikning.

Jeg har arbejdet på EU-projektet: Biomarkers of exposure and effect in relation to quality of life and human risk assessment.

Jeg har en videnskabelig baggrund i kemi og biologi, arbejdsområder var: tilsætningsstoffer, kulhydrater, novel foods, biomarkører, aromastoffer.

Expertise

My resent research has involved human vitamin D intervention and cross-sectional studies among different population groups in Denmark and Europe.

Title of PhD thesis: Vitamin D status in adolescent girls, elderly women and immigrants.

I was scientific secretary and co-coordinator of the EU-project OPTIFORD (Towards a strategy for optimal vitamin D fortification).

I am a member of an EFSA work group regarding scientific evaluation of health claims related to bone, dental and joint health.
I participate in EU project BRAFO (Benefit-Risk Analysis for Food).
I have an advisory role for Danish authorities regarding vitamin D among other things, including scientific evaluation of health claims for the Danish Food Administration.

I participate in ILSI work regarding micronutrients, and I participate in the Nordic Council project: Markedsundersøkelse og forbruker-undersøkelse om kosttilskudd og berikning.

I worked on the EU-project: Biomarkers of exposure and effect in relation to quality of life and human risk assessment.

I have a scientific background in chemistry and biology, work areas were: food additives, carbohydrates, novel foods, biomarkers, aroma compounds.
