Ole Hededal (OH) holds a PhD in Computational Mechanics and has over the last two decades worked with soil-structure interaction problems in consulting as well as academia. OH was appointed assoc. professor and research leader in Geotechnical Engineering at DTU Byg in 2004. His main research interests are a) behaviour of monopile foundations for offshore wind turbines, b) constitutive models for soil and rock. Ongoing research involves physical and numerical modelling of cyclic behaviour of laterally loaded piles, development of visco-plastic constitutive models for structured, ultrahigh-plasticity clay and dynamic soil-water-structure interaction models. OH is Head of Section for Section for Geotechnics at DTU Civil Engineering and acts as expert adviser to Femernbælt A/S and  ad-hoc consultant for various Danish engineering consultants.
