Expertise

Special interest in methodology development for synthetic organic chemistry, especially transition metal catalysis, tandem reactions and multi-component reactions. Experience with total synthesis, medicinal chemistry and solid-phase organic synthesis.

International experience

2013 (January - June): I spent 6 months as a visiting PhD student in Professor K.C. Nicolaous laboratories at The Scripps Research Institute, California. I participated in a total synthesis project of a highly potent antibiotic. I worked with multigram scale synthesis of building blocks and developed a new asymmetric route to a key fragment.
