The research work is focused on development and implementation of numerical methods for optimal design. The methods are used for rational design of mechanical load carrying structures. I am involved in the Danish Center for Composite Structures and Materials (www.dccsm.dk). I am the project leader of the strategic research project ABYSS: Advancing BeYond Shallow waterS - Optimal design of offshore wind turbine support structures (www.abyss.dk).
