I am a PhD-student at the Department ofMicrobiology and Risk Assessment at DTU Food. My project concerns the research on the development of antibiotic resistance in bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli) in response to the use of biocides.
In 2009 I was employed at the Department of Infection Control at Rigshospitalet. My working areas included resistant (including ESBL-producing) Klebsiella pneumoniae and their clonal spread at the hospital, and detection of mutation-mediated clarithromycin resistance in Helicobacter pylori.
In 2008 I graduated as MSc Eng. in Biotechnology. I did my master and pre-master thesis at Statens Serum Institute, which included an antigen characterization of the Pertussis Toxin and optimization of a Whooping Cough ELISA.
