Mahmood Mirzaei (PhDM.Sc. EE,  B.Sc. EE) works on aeroelastic modelling and control of wind turbines. He has finished his PhD project with the title: "Concurrent Aero-Servo-Elastic Analysis and Design of Wind Turbines."

The aim of his PhD project was to establish tools and methods for integrating controller design in the current aerodynamic and structural design of wind turbines.
He is currently holding a Post-Doc position at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (fromerly known as DTU-IMM). Besides other activities, he has participated in the following projects:
1) Radar@sea: The aim of this project is to use  short-term forecasts using radar images for better control of power output fluctuations, and potentially better maintenance planning.
2) Possible Power of a Wind Farm: The aim of this project is  to acquire models and tools for real time estimation of the possible power of a wind farm. 
His research interests, among others, include: modelling and control of dynamical systems and estimation in general. More specifically he works on  model predictive control (MPC), robust MPC, robust control and their applications on wind turbine and wind farm control.
