The continuous surveillance of antimicrobial resistance and zoonoses performed both nationally and internationally, is important because it makes it possible to analyze trends in resistance, and take action if necessary. Competence within programming and databases are a prerequisite for a proper handling of data. Extraction and validation is the basis for an effective analysis of data.
With this work I contribute to the preparation of the annual DANMAP report which describes the annual consumption of antimicrobials and the occurrence of resistance in humans, animals and foods.
