My main areas of research are related to power system operations, planning, and economics; renewable energy sources; stability, reliability, and vulnerability analysis of electric energy systems; electricity markets; optimization techniques, equilibrium models, stochastic programming and robust optimization. 

My PhD degree revolved around the analysis of the impact of a high penetration of wind power on the security and economics of power systems. I have published works on energy trading models, market design and clearing algorithms, reliability analysis of power systems, demand-side management, etc.
