Veterinary drugs and pesticides are examples of substances used in the production of food to control disease and parasites and to regulate growth. Drugs and pesticides must be approved and used according to regulations to avoid unacceptable risks for the consumer. The Residues research group are committed to develop and validate analytical methods for residues of veterinary drugs and pesticides in food, feed and other biological matrices. The methods are used in the national monitoring programmes of the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and in the research programmes undertaken by the group.
