Associate professor in structural mechanics, with research interests:

- Dynamics of structures: Modeling and simulations

- Damping of structures: Passive damping and active control

- Mechanics: Material modeling and numerical solution techniques


Main emphasize is on the modeling aspect, where generic ideas and concepts are developed to improve model accuracy and/or reduced model sophistication.

Teaching appointments involves lecturing:

- Structural mecanics (undergraduate course)

- Applied mathematics (undergraduate/graduate course)

- Advanced thin-walled beam analysis (graduate course)

The structural mechanics courses are based on the textbook: 'Statics and Mechanics of Structures', S. Krenk and j. Høgsberg, 2013, Springer.
