The research is focused both on development of generic tools for the process industry and application of advanced optimization method and systems engineering in both simulation studies and pilot plant and full scale. Applications are focused on chemical and biochemical production systems.

·         Development of tuning algorithms and tools for Model Predictive Control (MPC)

·         Monitoring and control of enzymatic biodiesel production

·         Modelling, design and control of novel energy efficient distillation technology (diabatic distillation, HIDiC)   

·         Control of Automotive DeNOx by SCR
