How can we utilize these resources to create better solutions in companies, for the individual and in entertainment? Mobile applications and technologies are used increasingly for personal information management and in application of digital media in social networks. Common for these areas are that they use information about the user's current context to understand the user to create personalized user interfaces. Thereby to improve the interaction between man and machine in mobile and context-aware systems. Jakob Eg Larsen is Associate Professor at DTU Informatics (IMM). He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Copenhagen in 1999 and a PhD from Technical University of Denmark 2005. He is managing MILAB (Mobile Informatics Lab) laboratory at the Section for Cognitive Systems at DTU Informatics.  The laboratory offers an environment for research and teaching in the areas of mobile context awareness, media modeling, user interaction and experiences.
