My expertise’s is transport system analysis and strategic transport planning with special focus on maritime transport and spatial modeling (geographical information systems). I have participated in several research activities especially in the fields of national and international strategic transport planning studies, modeling of intermodal transport systems in GIS and construction of spatial databases for transport planning. I have also participated in a large number of EU research projects. My current working areas are traffic and transport planning, transport corridors an motorways of the sea (MoS. This working area also includes the use of geographical information systems and its application to the transport sector.
