Henriette Cordes has more than 18 years experience in immunology and vaccine development mainly focusing on characterization of humoral- and cellular immune responses in animal models for inflammatory and infectious diseases. She has also worked with mucosal inflammatory and humoral immune responses. She has lots of experience with development of cellular- and immunological assays including development of reagents (monoclonal antibodies) for research and diagnostic and been support for the diagnostic department for several years.
At the moment the main research is on development of a vaccine for treatment of intestinal infection in pigs (Lawsonia intracellularis), a diagnostic test for the serological detection of Brucella suis in pigs as well as a multiplex based assay for simultaneous detection of several bacterial diseases.
Besides the research she has also several years of experience with science based consultancy of the public authorities being part of the National Reference Laboratory for TSE and has been involved in implementing quality assurance and accreditation of ring trial activities.
Henriette Cordes is Research Scientist in the Immunology/Vaccinology group at DTU, Veterinary Institute (DTU-Vet). She is Master of Science in Humanbiology from University of Copenhagen (KU) from 1992 and Ph.D. in Immunology from KU in 1997, and has been employed at DTU-Vet since 2002. Before she came to DTU-Vet she worked 8 years as Research Scientist in the Biotech Industry.
