I am a PhD student in Immunological Bioinformatics group led by prof. Ole Lund. Research is focused on developing bioinformatics algorithms and methods for characterizing amino acid or atomic interactions within proteins and between protein and peptides, more specifically, how MHC (Major Histocompatibility Complex) molecules recognize peptides and trigger immune responses. The methods are mainly based on statistical analysis. The study aims at providing detailed understanding of protein structure and protein-peptide binding mechanism from a statistical view, and thereby improving our ability to rationally design vaccines.
