Davide De Francisci is a post-doc at the Department of Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Denmark. His research is focused on the development of a microalgae treatment for nutrients removal from industrial waste-waters, and the use of the generated biomass for the production of high added value products and bioenergy.  Also he is working on the characterization of the microbial communities populating biogas reactors using different molecular biological techniques, such as metagenomics and metatranscriptomics.
