David Ussery, Asssociate Professor, MSc., PhD. is group leader of the comparative microbial genomics group at Center for Biological Sequence Analysis (CBS) at Biocentrum-DTU.  He has been working with bioinformatic analysis of bacterial genomes since the first sequence was published in 1995, and the main focus of the group is on bacterial genomics, with projects on  E. coli, Salmonella, Vibrio, Pseudomonas, Campylobacter, Burkholderia and Mycobacterium pan-genomics and high-density microarray pan-genome chip design for bacterial typing.  He has several collaborative projects with groups in the UK, Norway, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, and Spain as well as in Australia, Brazil, Thailand, and the U.S.
