I have a background in Applied Physics and Materials Technology Engineering. My PhD was on the subject "Investigation of Electronic Corrosion Mechanisms" where I developed new test methods that simulate electronic corrosion, and made in-depth studies of the factors that influence the corrosion mechanisms.

I now work with IPU Technology Development as a consulting engineer within materials and surface technology. I am mainly involved in small and large scale research projects, contract R&D work and general consultancy on materials and surface technology.

My main experience is in corrosion, corrosion prevention, surface modifications and surface characterizations. 

Apart from my PhD where I have done in-depth studies of electronic corrosion mechanisms, I have participated in research projects within 

  • Micro/ nano structuring of surfaces and pattern transfer techniques
  • Surface modification of glass fibers for windmills
  • Plasma treatments of polymers and metals
  • Metalization of polymers 
  • Micro-structural and electrochemical characterization aluminium alloys and welds.

  • X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS)
  • Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS)
  • Electrochemical techniques, such as potentiostatic and potentiodynamic polarization, cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy etc.
  • Micro-electrochemical testing on electronics and weldings
  • Various corrosion testing methods for electronics
