My current research activities are related to the occurrence of Salmonella and antimicrobial resistance in conventional and alternative animal production systems, and is part of a large cross-disciplinary research project As part of our advisory services, I prepare case-by-case risk assessments as a part of the Danish non-discriminatory intensified monitory programme for Campylobacter and Salmonella in Danish and imported fresh meat. I am also assisting in preparing the EFSA Community Report on trends and sources of zoonoses in the European Union and the EFSA Community Report on Foodborne Outbreaks in the European Union.
