Ph.D. student in solid waste management at Institute of Environment and Resources. M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering. Researcher in organic waste and biological treatments from a Life Cycle Analysis perspective. Main interests and ongoing projects: garden and organic waste management and characterization, representative sampling of heterogeneous systems in a waste perspective, gaseous emissions during compost under different condition both in lab and field, LCA of waste systems and BIO-TECH model (composting and anaerobic digestion) in EASEWASTE, substitutional models for compost and evaluation of leaching characteristics for compost and peat, long-term fate of heavy metals applied to soil through compost, calculation of soil quality properties in Life Cycle methodology, storage of carbon in soil after application of treated organic waste, climate change issue related to biowaste treatment and management of biogenic/fossil carbon.
