Organisation profile

The modelling group is a horizontal and cross-disciplinary platform with the objective to promote and coordinate activities at COM within modelling of components, systems and networks for optical communications. The objective is pursued by: contributing to modelling activities in selected areas; identifying areas where a concerted effort on modelling is beneficial, and mediating collaboration between these areas; supporting the combined use of commercial simulation tools and “homemade” models and simulation programs; attracting external projects where analysis and modelling are the main themes; offering modelling assistance to Danish industries and telecom operators; and promoting the use of modelling exercises in teaching.
