Organisation profile

LearningLab DTU is an internal consultancy unit. It is our aim to inspire and support DTU teachers, students and management to continuously improve the quality of the teaching and learning at DTU.

Through our activities we seek to encourage the teaching and learning community at DTU and to support innovative education practices focused on student learning and integrating technological tools in teaching and learning.

The main activity areas of LearningLab DTU are:
Training of DTU faculty - associate professors, Ph.D. students and other teachers - within pedagogy and didactics.
Consultancy related to development projects - including support to DTU teachers who are assigned to work for a defined period with development of teaching and learning.
Evaluation of education programs, courses and teaching.
Courses for students in study habits and management of "Læreanstalternes Fælles Formidlingskursus" (LFF) for students from DTU and other universities.
Initialization and participation in front line projects within learning technologies - including technologies and methods for e-learning and distance learning.
LearningLab DTU consists of a group of core staff supplemented by pedagogical coordinators from DTU institutes taking part in the teacher training courses and by DTU faculty members who are assigned to special development projects. Besides, external capacities contribute to LearningLab DTU activities, e.g. in courses and seminars. LearningLab DTU has agreements on cooperation with the Danish University of Education (Danmark Pædagogiske Universitet) and Copenhagen Business School and has a extensive network of contacts in Denmark and internationally.
